    Thursday, 2nd November 2017

Pascal Degove, Managing Director of Goldcrest Films (Goldcrest) announced that Rebecca Ferguson
is in talks to co-star with Hugh Bonneville (Paddington 2, Viceroy’s House) in award winning
Director John Hay’s (Lost Christmas) Untitled Roald Dahl & Patricia Neal project.

The film is a bittersweet, comedic and heart-warming story of Academy Award winning actress
Patricia Neal’s (Rebecca Ferguson) marriage to best-selling children’s novelist Roald Dahl (Hugh
    Bonneville)

Set between New York, England and Los Angeles at the beginning of the Sixties it’s a tale about
Dahl's struggles to write some of his most famous works and Neal’s return to acting with Hud (for
which she finally won her Oscar). The film is set to shoot in and around London. Principal
photography is scheduled to commence late January 2018.

Golden Globe nominee Rebecca Ferguson is currently in production on Mission Impossible 6 for
director Chris McQuarrie and producers JJ Abrams and Tom Cruise and just finished shooting The
Greatest Showman, alongside Hugh Jackman and Zac Effron for Twentieth Century Fox and Chernin
Entertainment. Ferguson is well known to global audiences for her work in Mission Impossible:
Rogue Nation, The Girl on the Train, Florence Foster Jenkins and The White Queen.

Goldcrest are financing, co-producing and overseeing global sales and distribution, the film is
produced by Elliot Jenkins for Atticus Pictures and by Pascal Degove for Goldcrest Films. The
screenplay is based on Stephen Michael Shearer’s novel An Unquiet Life, the film is written by Hay
and David Logan, who also won an Emmy for Lost Christmas.

Goldcrest Post (Murder On The Orient Express, Kingsman: The Golden Circle) under Managing Director
Patrick Malone will be providing picture and sound post production services.

Pascal Degove, Managing Director Goldcrest Films said: “Distributors everywhere should be excited
by the attachment of such exceptional talent to the project; in Rebecca we have been lucky to find
someone who, like us, is committed to giving our story the widest possible appeal having
consistently brought global audiences to cinemas in a string of high-profile box office successes.”

Director John Hay says “This is a sophisticated, complex, multilayered, love story and I can’t
think of anyone better than Rebecca to draw the emotion out of every scene without ever giving an
audience the impression that is what she is doing”.

Elliot Jenkins continues “Patricia Neal was a remarkable woman who managed to maintain her career
and win an Oscar while carrying her family through some enormous struggles, on every level her
legacy will be safely preserved in Rebecca’s portrayal".
Ferguson is represented by Tavistock Wood, ICM and Actors Scandinavia.
